That meaning changed forever when Mulkey’s aunt was diagnosed with cancer. Against impossible odds, she took on each day like a warrior—whispering “Fites On” as a reminder to fight with everything she had. It wasn’t just about survival; it was about defying the odds, embracing the struggle, and never backing down. Watching her battle with unwavering strength redefined the phrase.
For Mulkey, Fites On became a way of life. After battling childhood trauma and struggling with mental health well into his Air Force career, he sought help and found strength in three things: faith, his wife, and music. No longer just an escape, music became his mission—to create songs for the broken, the weary, and the fighters who refuse to quit.
